About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT & Software Support Specialist to support our business applications, websites, and technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by maintaining software systems, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users, and assisting with technology implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Software & Application Support (Primary Focus)
- Provide technical support for business software, productivity tools, and cloud-based applications.
- Troubleshoot software issues and resolve user-reported problems in a timely manner.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain software applications across the organization.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and software licensing.
- Coordinate software updates, patches, testing, and upgrades.
- Assist with software integration projects and workflow automation initiatives.
- Work with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement enhancements.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technology solutions to improve business efficiency.
Website Support
- Maintain and update company websites.
- Monitor website performance, security, and uptime.
- Manage hosting environments, domains, SSL certificates, and backups.
- Coordinate with external web developers when required.
IT Infrastructure Support
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Assist with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
- Support cloud services, file sharing systems, and remote access solutions.
- Perform routine system maintenance and data backups.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and best practices.
- Monitor user access and security controls.
- Assist with software security updates and vulnerability management.
- Help maintain data protection standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software support, application support, IT support, or systems administration.
- Experience troubleshooting software, databases, and application-related issues.
- Understanding of web technologies, hosting environments, and content management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting financial services, investment, or professional services firms.
- Basic SQL and database troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with AI tools, software integrations, APIs, and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
